Lake Titicaca 2 Day Tour

During this 2 day tour you will visit the most emblematic islands of Lake Titicaca. On the first day, you will sail to the famous Uros Islands, which are entirely made of totora reed, an aquatic plant that grows on the Lake Titicaca’s shores. Then, you will visit the enchanting Amantani Island, where you will spend one night at a traditional home. It is worth noting that Amantani is one of the biggest islands of Lake Titicaca.
On the second day, you will visit the cozy Taquile Island. Due to its remote location, the inhabitants of Taquile still maintain their traditional customs. The island is also famous for its delicate textile designs, which can be purchased as souvenirs.

Day 1
Puno – Uros Islands – Amantani Island
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno around 8:00 am. Then, we will drive to the local port to board a boat to the Uros Islands. Once we arrive there, you will have a short guided tour. You will learn about the rich history and traditions of the Uros people. As an optional activity, you can take a short trip around the islands on a traditional totora boat.
Then, we will sail to Amantani Island, one of the largest islands of Lake Titicaca. We will be navigating for around 3 hours before reaching Amantani. Once there, you will meet the family who will be hosting you during the night. Then, we will have a traditional lunch.
After lunch, you will have a guided trek to the Pachatata Ceremonial Center, located on the highest point of the island. Then, we will return to the island’s main town to participate in a traditional ceremony. Finally, you will go to your host family’s house to spend the night.
Day 2
Amantani Island – Taquile Island – Puno
We will wake up at 7:00 am. After breakfast, we will navigate to Taquile Island, where you will have a short guided trek to the island’s main square. During the trek, you will learn about the unique culture of the island’s inhabitants. After the trek, we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
Finally, we will return by boat to Puno city, where we will be arriving around 3:30 pm. Once there, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
