Lake Titicaca Full Day Tour

During this full day tour you will visit some of the islands of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. First you will go to the famous Uros Islands, which are entirely made of totora reed. Then, you will visit the Taquile Island, located near the Chucuito and Capachica Peninsulas.
The Uros islands are situated near the shores of Lake Titicaca. They are a group of artificial islands made by the Uros people. The main building material of these islands is the totora reed, a type of aquatic plant that grows at the Lake Titicaca’s shores. Around 1,200 people live on the Uros Islands.
On the other hand, Taquile is a small natural island located on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. It is inhabited by around 2,200 people. The main economic activites of the island are agriculture, fishing, and tourism.

Full Day
Lake Titicaca Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno around 6:00 am. Then, we will go to the local port to board a boat to the Uros Islands. Once there, you will have a guided tour of one of the Uros Islands. You will learn about the customs, traditions, and the way of life of the island’s inhabitants. As an optional activity, you can have a short trip around the island on a totora boat.
Afterwards, we will leave the Uros Islands to visit Taquile Island. Once we arrive at Taquile, you will have a short tour to the most important landmarks of the island. Due to its unique location, Taquile is a great spot to take photos of Lake Titicaca. Then, we will have lunch at a local restaurant on the island.
Finally, at 2:30 pm we will board our boat to return to Puno city, where we will be arriving around 5:30 pm. Once in Puno, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
